The Singleton of Glendullan - Bangalore Duty Free - 1 Litre

The Singleton of Glendullan is crafted to reflect the unique character of the Distillery. Select casks are matured for just the right amount of time to ensure the presence of finely balanced layers of fresh and fruity flavours, including fresh green apples and pears. A zesty, intense, sweet and dry Singleton, highlighting the Glendullan hallmark fruitiness with a spicy intensity. A blend of ages in refill and rejuvenated American oak (Refill gives mature Distillery character, rejuvenated American Oak casks give a sweet spiciness).

Clean and complex nose with a rich fruity flavor that suggests an old mortar Some fragrant, soft, fragrant, leather, sandalwood and light vanilla. Fruit mouth with notes of citrus and raisins. Vanilla and a touch of honey, with only a subtle hint of wood; a sweetness of maple syrup.

This is the 12 year old expression from The Singleton of Glendullan series, originally released for the Travel Retail market. Tasty stuff, which ought to work well as an aperitif style dram.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Soft vanilla and sawdust as it opens, leading on to notes of dried fruit and mixed nuts.

Palate: Drying at first with oak and cinnamon, before hints of fresh apple and caramelised pear bring a juiciness to the palate.

Finish: A very subtle touch of smoke develops underneath toffee and blueberry on the finish.

Our 12 year old single malt scotch whisky is matured in a high proportion of American oak casks with a small portion of European oak casks to balance the liquid. The result is an easy to enjoy single malt with fresh fruit aromas, a sweet honeyed palate and a creamy lingering finish.
