LEMON DROP MARTINI
The Lemon Drop Martini was created back in the 80s during the vodka craze. It was apparently named after a hard candy and said to be made in the bay area of San Francisco.
Whilst technically it is a Vodka Crusta and not a Martini, it is undoubtedly a refreshing, citrusy cocktail with a balance of sweet and tart.
INGREDIENTS
– 60ml Vodka (2 oz)
– 7.5ml Cointreau (0.25 oz)
– 22.5ml Fresh Lemon Juice (0.75 oz)
– 22.5ml Simple Syrup (0.75 oz)
CHOCOLATE MARTINI
The easiest Chocolate Martini recipe you can find! A simple two ingredient recipe consisting of vodka and creme de cacao. You can use brown or white creme de cacao but the white retains the clarity of a classic Martini.
Sweet, chocolatey and perfect as a dessert drink.
INGREDIENTS
– 60ml Vodka (2 oz)
– 45ml Creme de Cacao (1.5 oz)
ESPRESSO MARTINI (Dick Bradsell’s recipe)
The Espresso Martini is an Australian favourite. Rich, strong coffee notes and velvety smooth. Dick Bradsell first created the Espresso Martini in the 80s – he called for Wyborowa vodka and Kahlua as his choice of coffee liqueur.
INGREDIENTS
– 60ml Vodka (2 oz)
– 30ml Espresso (1 oz)
– 15ml Coffee Liqueur (0.5 oz)
– 7.5ml 1:1 Simple Syrup (0.25 oz)
MOSCOW MULE
The Moscow Mule is a super simple drink yet surprisingly flavourful. Grab a glass, pour and squeeze some lime and you’ve got an incredibly delicious mixed drink. The key to a great Mule is choosing a suitable ginger beer with a good amount of spice from the ginger – I recommend Bundaberg Ginger Beer.
The drink was named the Moscow Mule due to the 1940s American perception that vodka was a Russian spirit and its intense ginger kick (like a Mule). It was originally made with Smirnoff vodka.
INGREDIENTS
– 60ml Vodka
– 90ml Ginger Beer (Recommended: Bundaberg)
– 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
CAMPARI COCKTAIL
The Campari Cocktail leverages the neutral flavour of vodka to suppress its bitterness. Adequate dilution and a twist of lemon makes this spirit-forward mix an ideal appetiser.
INGREDIENTS
– 30ml Campari (1 oz)
– 22.5ml Vodka (0.75 oz)
– 1 Dash of Angostura Bitters
